Little doodles

 ZEROPAINTER
It has been several days since my last confession.............
To my shame I had neglected some small canvases I painted some years ago, mainly because I thought they were rubbish! If paintings hang around too long they tend to get painted over, which adds to the multi layer effect of much of my work. I'll always leave traces of the original image to create a layered visual history.

First 4 small boxed canvas 15x15cm, last one 13x17cm.
(please click to enlarge to see full set)
So I thought I'd share these with you, they were laying around and I thought "they could benefit from a stencil!".

This one I almost stenciled and then bottled it.
I like this one.

21x17.5 boxed canvas. Acrylic & water transfer.

So at the moment I'm getting some more stencils cut as the ones I've been using are about to expire (I'm bored of them!) and I'm working on the larger canvases to get back painting rather than just stenciling, and working hard to get the book together, If you are interested please let me know asap.(more details on the BLOG below or please contact me). Not forget those bargains on EBAY, there are a few on at the moment.

One more note, I've had some enquires for paintings that have already been sold and obliviously they have been disappointed. With the stencils I can  re-produce a similar painting, still original but using the same stencil, So if there is any bespoke work you want or ideas floating about in your head, drop me a line and we can look at some ideas.

Many thanks

First day at school

This feels like my first day at school, not really sure what to do or what to expect!
While at university I found out I was dyslexic, so I really do have an excuse for being afraid of words and for them sometimes not making any sense when I type them out( it was a good job I went to Uni for Art!) So this is why this blog will be more pictorial than a short romantic comedy set in the beautiful city of NEW YORK.
I work mainly in acrylics & mixed media and more recently with stencil & spray can.
Stencil work can be seen zeropainter website my other larger acrylic canvases are on the PeterWalker website. Please have a look, comments are more than welcome, they are encouraged in fact!
The Zeropainter site is updated and changed regularly, I'm trying to tweak it to run quicker, smoother and hopeful to be able to sell on I too, I'll keep you up dated with that.
Saturday I popped over to Nottingham to visit Cuadros gallery, it's a small friendly gallery carrying some fantastic contemporary art. I went specifically went to see Hans James

Andy Wall Hole by Hans James
Image Dimensions 35" x 35"
Acrylic onto Box Canvas

Check him out on Cuadros.

Here are some images of my studio/messy garage/very small space, but it's home to me!

Paint drying side!

Stencil drying side!

Shape of things to come, these are works in progress, so we'll see what happens.

So as and when things happen, they will appear here.
Thanks
